Garden Spot Village in New Holland has been awarded a $4.5 million grant from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP). This funding will support the construction of the Garden Spot Communities Center for Arts and Culture. The project plans include studios, classrooms, office space, and storage facilities.
Rep. Keith Greiner of Lancaster expressed his support for the grant, stating, "I strongly advocated for this grant, and I am grateful to learn it was approved today." He emphasized that the project would enhance the local arts community and contribute to economic growth.
The RACP program is managed by the Office of the Budget and has been operational since 1986. It focuses on funding projects related to regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvements. Today alone, more than $590 million in RACP grants were distributed across Pennsylvania.
