State Rep. Keith Greiner | Pennsylvania 43rd Legislative District
Rep. Keith Greiner of Lancaster will convene a hearing of the House Majority Policy Committee to examine how inflation is affecting Pennsylvania's agriculture sector and food prices. The event, set for August 24 at 10 a.m., will take place at the West Earl Township Municipal Building in Brownstown.
The committee, chaired by Martin Causer, includes members who will hear from several testifiers. These include Chris Pierce, president of Heritage Poultry Management Services; Heather Lewis, a family farm owner; Bill Beam, president and owner of Beam Farms Inc.; Danny Good, owner of Good’s Transport; Mike Smucker, president of Smucker’s Meats; and Doug Taylor, founder and CEO of Taylor Chip Cookies.
The session aims to provide insights into the challenges faced by local farmers and businesses due to rising costs. It is scheduled to be streamed live online unless technical issues arise.
