Zimmerman announces grants for school safety and mental health in local districts

State Representative David H. Zimmerman | Pennsylvania 99th Legislative District

State Representative Dave Zimmerman announced that the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s School Safety and Security Committee has approved grants aimed at enhancing school safety and mental health support in the 99th District. The funding will benefit six local schools.

"Our students deserve every opportunity to succeed, and that includes safe spaces to learn and grow," Zimmerman stated. "I am pleased to see area schools awarded with this critical funding and know it will go a long way toward ensuring a sense of security for our students, faculty, and staff alike."

The schools receiving awards include:

- Cocalico School District: $153,135

- Conrad Weiser Area School District: $145,862

- Eastern Lancaster County School District: $151,895

- Governor Mifflin School District: $176,729

- Pequea Valley School District: $125,851

- Wilson School District: $217,917

These grants are expected to improve safety measures and mental health resources for students in these districts.
