Rep. Brett Miller announced that over $3.2 million in state grants have been awarded to communities within the 41st Legislative District for safety and infrastructure projects. "Each of these grants will help to address a crucial need in our community," said Miller. He also acknowledged the efforts of local officials and expressed satisfaction in advocating for the funding alongside State Sen. Ryan Aument.

The grant distribution includes $772,510 allocated to East Hempfield Township on behalf of United Disability Services Foundation. This funding supports the purchase of 20 ADA-compliant vehicles equipped with specialized equipment for client transportation.

Columbia Borough received $1,000,000 for renovating its newly acquired public works facility. Meanwhile, Hempfield School District was granted $1,500,000 for roof repairs at Landisville Primary Center and Landisville Middle School facilities in East Hempfield Township. The project aims to extend the roofs' lifespan by 20-25 years at half the cost of complete replacements.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority gave final approval to these grants during a meeting held on Tuesday.
