St Peter's Lutheran Church recently issued the following announcement.
MORAL MONDAY BOOK STUDY
Moral Monday Book Club will meet at the church on September 20th at 6:30 p.m. under the portico if good weather, inside if not. Please bring your own chair. This month we will be reading The Third Reconstruction: How a Moral Movement is Overcoming the Politics of Division and Fear by, Reverend Dr William J Barber II. “Over the summer of 2013, the Reverend Dr Barber lead the Moral Mondays movement in a series of protests against North Carolina’s restrictions to voting access. This moral movement has since blossomed in states across the country.” Please join us to discuss how Christian morality specifically speaks to issues of division and how we can use our faith to form healthy inclusive communities.
