Fall Worship Schedule

Praying

St Peter's Lutheran Church issued the following announcement on Aug. 26.

This summer, as we have been gathering in worship to sing, pray, and proclaim the liberating message of God’s grace, St. Peter’s staff and worship committee have been working toward a fall worship schedule. At the beginning of the summer, we had one idea of what that might look like and we have striven to make the best decisions we could with regard to gathering together. We have chosen to make slight adjustments to our plans as the summer has worn on to ensure we were following the advice of our community health experts. At time of writing, here are the fall worship opportunities.

Indoor Traditional Services

St. Peter’s will continue to hold two indoor worship services in the Sanctuary. Beginning September 5, we will shift worship start times to 8:00 and 10:45, allowing time for a Sunday School hour between them. Services include bible readings, sermons, prayers, and congregational singing.

Indoor New Day Services

Our New Day contemporary service returns this fall. Starting August 29th New Day services will be held in the Family Life Center at 10:45. Services will include bible readings, sermons, prayers, and congregational singing led by the New Day band.

Live-streaming Services

Starting August 29th the traditional service will be live-streamed at 8:00 and New Day will be live-streamed at 10:45 with both services welcoming in-person worshippers. Live-streaming the two services at different times gives St. Peter’s the best opportunity to manage our internet bandwidth while providing the most robust worship schedule possible. Bulletins for the traditional service will be available at www.stpeterslutheran.org/bulletins and the New Day service will all be on screen.

Outdoor Services

Starting September 12th, St. Peter’s will offer a brief service from 9:00-9:30 outside on the north side of the building. This service will be under a tent, be family-friendly, and will be immediately followed by outdoor Sunday school up to grade 8 as well as one adult class. Worship attendees and staff will help to lead readings, a gospel message, and music in an engaging format.
