PENN MANOR HIGH SCHOOL: HS Blended Learning hybrid schedule to continue through Feb. 5

Announce

Penn manor High School issued the following announcement.

Penn Manor High School will continue to operate under a Blended Learning format after the winter break and will remain in this hybrid learning mode through February 5.

The school will follow the same schedule and in-school attendance format for students currently in use.

The hybrid schedule is being extended in response to increased COVID-19 cases in the high school community and updated requirements from the PA Departments of Health and Education.

For more information on COVID-19, please see the Penn Manor School District’s updates and resources page.

There are no changes to the K-8 in-person learning format at other Penn Manor schools at this time.

High school students will follow A and B schedules, with Group A attending in-person classes on Mondays and Tuesdays and Group B attending in person on Thursdays and Fridays.

Students will receive daily live, remote video instruction on the days they are not physically in school. Students will receive links from their teachers on instruction.

On Wednesdays, all high school students will participate in live, remote learning from 7:40 a.m. to 12:10 p.m., then work independently and meet virtually with teachers the remainder of the school day. This is a change from the previous virtual Wednesday format.

Due to schedule changes needed for the end of the semester, holidays, and Keystone Exam testing, specific weekly schedules will vary; details will be provided by the high school administration.

Students who attend Lancaster County Career & Technology Center for a full-day program will continue to follow the schedule under which CTC is operating. Half-day CTC students will receive specific instructions from a high school administrator.

Meals will continue to be provided to students every day that school is in session. Students may receive meals free of charge for the three days each week that they are not physically in school by completing the order form found here.
