Penn Manor High School issued the following announcement.
Penn Manor High School will return to a Blended Learning format beginning the week of December 7 and continue in this hybrid learning mode through the month of December. The school will follow the same schedule and in-school attendance format for students that was in use prior to November 6.
There are no changes to the K-8 learning format at this time.
High school students will follow the A and B schedules that were in effect at the beginning of the school year. Group A will attend in-person classes on Mondays and Tuesdays. Students in Group B will attend in person on Thursdays and Fridays.
In a change from the previous Blended Learning format, students also will receive daily live, virtual video instruction on the days they are not physically in school. Students will receive links from their teachers on instruction.
On Wednesday, December 9, and Wednesday, December 16, all high school students will work independently from home in the morning and will participate in live, virtual learning from 11:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Students who attend Lancaster County Career & Technology Center for a full-day program will continue to follow the schedule under which CTC is operating. Half-day CTC students will receive specific instructions from a high school administrator.
Meals will be provided to students every day that school is in session. Students may receive meals free of charge for the three days each week that they are not physically in school by completing the order form found here.
This shift to a Blended Learning schedule is being implemented in response to increased COVID-19 cases in the high school community and updated requirements from the PA Departments of Health and Education.
During the holiday break, the district administration will reassess learning mode needs based upon community COVID-19 data and will share additional information with high school families regarding the school schedule by Wednesday, December 30.
