Lampeter-Strasburg Senior High School issued the following announcement.
Three seniors and a freshman received honors from the Lampeter-Strasburg High School faculty for their achievements in October 2020.
Pioneer Superlatives
Josie Lau
Josie is a senior and the daughter of Meg and Dominic Lau of Strasburg. She is a member of the L-S High School National Honor Society, Student Council, the High School Heroes Program, and the varsity girls basketball (as manager) and tennis teams. A winner of Scholastic Art Awards and Lancaster Young Artist Awards, Josie shares her talent with the community as a face painter at PTO and elementary school events and enjoys playing tennis and making art in her free time. She is planning to attend college to major in elementary education/psychology to become a teacher or school counselor.
Lucas Baker
Lucas is a senior and the son of John and Susan Baker of Willow Street. He is a member of the L-S High School National Honor Society, Pioneer Interact Club, Varsity Club, the distinguished honor roll, and the varsity boys soccer and tennis teams. Lucas also attends church, plays on a club soccer team, and spends time outdoors, fishing and camping. He plans to attend college to study engineering.
Students of the Month
Haley Conrad
Haley is a freshman and the daughter of Brian Conrad and Holly Fryberger of Willow Street. She is an honor roll student and was a Student of the Month at Martin Meylin Middle School. Haley likes to spend her free time making art, running, and cooking and plans to pursue a career as a police officer or firefighter.
Marshall Moyer
Marshall is a senior and the son of Steve Moyer and Lori Moyer of Strasburg. He is a member of the varsity football team at L-S High School. When not at school or playing football, Marshall enjoys playing video games and hanging out with his friends. He plans to pursue a career in law enforcement after graduation.
