HEMPFIELD SCHOOL DISTRICT: HHS Fall Concert Showcase Updated Schedule & Links

Concertss

Hempfield School District issued the following announcement.

The “Fall Showcase Concert” music recording schedule has changed! See the updated information below. Classes will meet in the PAC on the assigned day. Below is our schedule and YouTube streaming links. All streams will be live during period 1 at 8:00 a.m. for the ensembles’ warm-up and performance:

  • (Cycle Day 2)  - Monday, October 26 - Hempfield Singers and Chamber Singers - https://youtu.be/MCDF8wQvjIc
  • (Cycle Day 1)  - Tuesday, October 27 - Symphony Strings and Concert Choir - https://youtu.be/bWT-e-QYm1A
  • (Cycle Day 1)  - Thursday, October 29 - Symphonic Band - https://youtu.be/soi_rf1UcHE
  • (Cycle Day 2)  - Friday, October 30 - Concert Strings and Concert Band - https://youtu.be/8yup10A6j3M
For the concert performance recordings during class, students should dress in concert attire, as detailed by the ensemble director. We are unable to accommodate non-student audience members for the performance. Virtual students will be given an alternate performance assignment to share with the teacher.

As a reminder, the recording will then be posted in Schoology for students to review, evaluate, and learn. Due to copyright law, we cannot present this permanent recording on YouTube or other public platforms. We understand and share in your disappointment for not being able to appreciate the music and students live and in concert. Performing is something we pride ourselves on at Hempfield, and we are handling the Fall Showcase Concert in this manner because it is the only viable option available at this time.
