PENN MANOR HIGH SCHOOL: Trio honored as Employee, Educators of the Year

Announce

Penn Manor High School issued the following announcement.

Penn Manor would like to honor three staff members who were named the Outstanding Educators and Employees for the 2019-2020 school year.

  • Julie Yost, K-12 special education coordinator for the school district, is the Outstanding Elementary Educator of the Year.
A 21-year veteran of Penn Manor, she is a former learning support teacher at Pequea Elementary School who previously served as a middle school girls’ basketball coach.

  • Shawn Maxwell, a 22-year Penn Manor veteran, has been named Outstanding Secondary Educator of the Year.
Shawn is a physical education teacher and former football coach who now serves as coordinator of the physical education department.

  • Mike Szafran, with more than 16 years of experience at Penn Manor, has been named Outstanding Employee of the Year.
A proud Penn Manor resident and parent, Mike currently works as a senior groundskeeper in the building and grounds department.

These valued members of the Penn Manor staff were not recognized earlier because our Employee Recognition Dinner was canceled last spring. Please join us in congratulating them now and thanking them for their service to the Penn Manor community!
