City of Lancaster issued the following announcement on Feb. 16.
The 500 block of N. Duke St. between Frederick St. and James St. will be closed from 5 p.m. Feb. 25 until 9 p.m. Feb. 27. Benchmark Construction and subcontractors for the Lancaster General Hospital Emergency Department Expansion Project will be closing the 500 block of N. Duke St. for crane work.
Truck traffic will be detoured via McGovern Ave., Prince St. and Chestnut St. Local traffic will be detoured via Clay St., Prince St. and James St. Flaggers will be onsite to direct vehicle traffic at Clay St., Frederick St., and James St. around the site.
The Lancaster General Hospital Emergency Department Expansion Project began in Fall 2020 and is tentatively scheduled to be completed in Spring 2024.
