Warwick Township issued the following announcement.
Warwick Township is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Public Works Operator. The position is year-round, 40 hours per week. The Public Works Department is responsible for the construction and general maintenance of the Township roads, parks and properties. The position requires the operation of heavy equipment as well as a variety of hand and power tools. Individuals must be able to work independently, communicate effectively, and interact with the public in a professional manner.
The qualified individual should have a minimum of five years’ experience in Public Works or a construction related field. A current Class A or B CDL or the ability to attain is required for this position. Experience with performing maintenance on vehicles and small, motorized equipment is preferred. The individual must be available for on call during winter months as evening/weekend hours will be required.
The position provides year round employment, an excellent benefit package, and a starting rate based upon the individual’s skills and knowledge.
Successful applicants must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid PA Driver’s License and the satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical, PA State Police Criminal Background Check as well as a PA Department of Motor Vehicle Records Check. Qualified applicants are invited to submit an application for employment to the Warwick Township Office, 315 Clay Road, Lititz, PA, between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday and Friday.
