Conestoga Valley Senior High Schoo issued the following announcement.
The class officers for the Class of 2020 met recently with school officials to review plans for the proposed July 24th “Senior Slam” event. Among the things discussed were the results of the Class of 2020 Instagram survey, the recent spike in Coronavirus cases and the new state mandates for wearing masks and limiting gatherings to 250 people.
Given these circumstances and continuing updates from the CDC, the Governor’s Office and the PA Dept. of Health regarding the virus, we are cancelling the Senior Slam event, and instead, replacing it with a one-year graduation anniversary event in June of 2021! A number of neighboring schools are planning such events to celebrate the Class of 2020, and the added time will hopefully result in conditions favoring a picnic involving parents and graduates.
