School District of Lancaster issued the following announcement on May 13.
The final day for graded student work in the School District of Lancaster will be Friday, May 29, according to the end-of-year schedule released Wednesday.
The last week of scheduled student days, June 1-5, are for students to return district-issued electronic devices, including iPads and chargers, and other district property, such as textbooks and musical instruments, to their schools.
Teachers will gather student belongings still in classrooms and lockers and prepare them to be picked up by families at the same time. The intent is to ensure as much social-distancing as possible.
