Pennsylvania Auditor General Tim DeFoor will be present at an upcoming Coffee and Conversation event hosted by Rep. Tom Jones (R-Lancaster/Lebanon) in Elizabethtown. The gathering is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 13, from 9-10 a.m. at Jones’ district office located at 222 S. Market St.
Jones stated, “I have long shared Defoor’s vision and aim of protecting taxpayer dollars from being misspent. Since taking office, he has done a great job serving as the fiscal watchdog of public resources,” adding his appreciation for DeFoor’s visit to meet with local residents.
DeFoor’s appearance is part of his “Be Audit $mart” tour, where he will outline the responsibilities of his office and answer questions from attendees. He commented on the importance of his work: “I’m excited to highlight the important work we do to make sure taxpayer dollars are being spent appropriately.” He also thanked Jones and his team for organizing the event and encouraged community members to attend: “I appreciate Rep. Jones and his team for all the time and effort they have put into making this event happen, and I encourage everyone to attend.”
The Coffee and Conversation series takes place on the second Thursday of each month from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., providing regular opportunities for constituents to engage with their state representative.
